Matt's new room

Matt moved out of his apartment and into his new room with his friends. He has been sleeping in a friends room waiting for the room to be finished. Today he was given the go ahead and Eddie took over his bed and a few things from home. I had to work so they sent me a couple of pictures. Here they are. I feel much better after seeing it. It appears very nice and has a huge window so that if need arrises he can get out.

North v East Football game.

Tonight is the North v East football game. I am working. Matt keeps the stats for the radio broadcast in which his father is a commentator. Kimberli went to the game and took the kids. She has sent me a couple of pictures with her phone so I thought I would post them for all to see.

Cameron learns to ride a trike!

Again, yesterday was Tuesday. I had Cameron. We were at aunt Kim's. Alaina and Cameon mostly played in the sandbox while Daniel took a nap. At one point though, the decided to ride bikes.

Usually this consists of Alaina riding and Cameron getting on and pushing with his feet. Today however after MTHS. of Nathan working with him every Tuesday, he decided he would do it right!

We were all very proud! We even sent a video to daddy in the Navy. Now all he can talk about is getting a horn like Alaina's only blue.

Nothin much.

Today we didn't do much at all. I wanted to post a couple of pictures I took while visiting Kimberli, Alaina, and Daniel.

The one thing special today was that after I came to work, Alaina got a new hair cut!! I have a picture of her on here with the new style! She looks adorable! She is just growing up too fast!

A day with daddy!

Yesterday 8-23-08 we took Cameron to Great Lakes to visit daddy. Cameron's mommy dropped him of at our house at 5:30 a.m. and we left the house at 6:00. We planned to go on Saturday and stay till Sunday morning. The plans changed when the hotel we had gotten a room in wasn't what we wanted. The trip over went as planned. We got there at about 11:30 our time (it's one hour earlier there). We went to the base and Cameron yelled..."that's the Navy, that's where my daddy lives"! He was very anxious to see him. We picked up Nathan and drop to Chicago to meet a couple of Nathan's friends that were also going to Chicago for the day. The day didn't work out as planned. We went to eat lunch and then have ice cream, then off to the Shedd Aquarium. We didn't get into the aquarium because lines were a couple of hours long so we looked at boats and headed to the Sears Tower. Nathan, Pap and Cameron went up to the top while Matthew and I stayed down and waited. It took longer than planned so we had to rush back to the car to get Nathan's stuff and then get him to his 5:45 train. It seemed to fly by. Way to quickly! It was fun though and we all got to see eachother if only for a few short hours. I took some pictures with my phone to post on here. We can't wait to see daddy again and hope he will get to come home for the next visit in about 3 weeks!

Tuesdays with granny

Yesterday was my day off of work again. Also my day to take Cameron. Alaina is gone to her daddy's house this week. Daniel is getting special time with family that he is not used to. Shannon dropped Cameron off at Kim's but I was the only one there for a good while because Kim and Mamaw had taken Daniel to Borgelt's to swim. Cameron really missed Alaina but he setteled for an apple while we waited. When they all arrived at Kim's mamaw took him out to play. They enjoyed some sun chips that had been left out for 2 days but didn't seem to mind. At 4:30 I took Cameron to the farmers market to meet pap. We picked out some fresh vegetables to cook for dinner and then went home to cook. I made more food than I have made in a month. He seemed to enjoy it all. At the end of the day pap was exhausted! Uncle Matt sat and talked to granny.

Saturday we are going to see daddy in the Navy. Cameron is very excited! He says "we are going to see daddy in a couple of seconds". I hope to take some pictures and post them here next week.

Rainy day.

Today was pretty much a wash out. I went to keep Alaina and Daniel when Kimberli went to work. We played up in the playroom. It wasn't too exciting. I took some pictures just to keep record. Alaina took the one with Me holding Daniel. She did a great job for a 3 year old!

Tuesday

Well, today was another Cameon day. I go to babysit for Alaina & Daniel on Tuesdays because it is my day off and Kimberli works. I get there at about 2 and Cameron gets dropped off at about 3. It was another beautiful day! Nothing like August usually is. We played outside most of the after noon. Kim and Matt just had the huge tree between their house and Dewey's house cut down so that is the wood pile that Alaina is sitting on in one of these pictures. After ridding bikes for a while mamaw came down to see us. She is in the picture of the kids playing on the swing. We didn't get any of Daniel today because he was taking his nap the entire time.

Freedom Park

Today we went to Freedom Park. That is the new huge Million dollar park behind Parkside school. Kimberli and I went for our exercise and took Alaina and Daniel and as we got up by the park Alaina knew where we were and asked to go there. It is a very nice park! The base is made of recycled tires so it's rubbery. It kind of bounces when you walk on it. Of course we found out the hard way it is also VERY hot! I got down on my knees to play on the monkey bars with Alaina and burnt my knees and then Kimberli not thinking stood Daniel up with bare feet. He started crying so she picked him up pretty quickly. His little feet were red! It was a beautiful day!

Granny and Pap take daddy's visitation. (Because he is gone to the Navy)

This weekend was a Cameron weekend. Granny and Pap get to have him everyother weekend because daddy can't right now (he's still in Great Lakes). We didn't do much, but we did get him a new t-shirt. It is much more fun to have him on the weekends that Alaina isn't gone with her daddy but this weekend she was at Holiday World with him. We still wore Cameron out! I have the pictures to show not only his new shirt but him passed out on my living room couch in it too. Hopefully we can have all 3 grandchildren out on his next weekend to play in the pools we got them.
